The varsity team tryouts will be held on
Sunday, September 24 from 8:00 pm until 10:00 pm at Slapshotz
in Fredericksburg, VA. The cost will be $10.00 per player.
For the upcoming 2000-2001 season, there will be a varsity
"A" team and a junior varsity "B" team.
The varsity team will be a fully-funded and sponsored team that will
represent George Mason University in the Mid-Atlantic
Region of the CRHL
(Collegiate Roller Hockey League). The junior-varsity team
will be developing their skills in local house leagues and team
practices, as well as being called up to the varsity team if needed; competing
in the region's "B-Team League" is also a possibility.
Players will be required to have the following equipment:
- HECC Certified Helmet
- Skates (no brakes)
- Shin Pads
- Elbow Pads
- Athletic Cup
- Roller Hockey Pants
- Light and Dark Jerseys
- Sticks
Rink Specifications:
- Two full-size indoor rinks
- Surface: Sport Court tile (indoor wheels with a hardness
between 74a and 78a are recommended)
- Puck: official USA Hockey Inline ISD puck, weight is 4 ounces,
material is hard plastic/rubber
